Biodynamic Hydroponic

Successful biodynamic hydroponic gardening projects take place both indoors and out, depending upon any number of factors. When adding the biodynamic element to the project, it will be quite handy to have access to some land and farm animals, which usually means gardening hydroponically outside or in a greenhouse.

The biodynamic farming experience can, of course, be successful indoors as well but there are many rituals and materials that rely on forces of nature that are only found outdoors. In order to work with these elements, in the truest sense of the practice, a great deal of time must be spent in the open air.

For instance, to achieve the appropriate soil conditions for a biodynamic hydroponics gardening experience, the soil itself must be treated with body parts of a particular animal, depending upon the desired nature of the soil. These treated animal parts must be buried underground so the sun and the moon can effect their influence as the seasons change.

Once the soil has been properly seasoned, it can be dug up and introduced into the system as needed. In order to maintain the integrity of the biodynamic nature of the gardening method, the soil must provide all the nutrients required of the plants grown in it since no additives of any kind are allowed.

Biodynamic gardening relies strongly upon the influence of the moon and it’s for this reason that opinions vary as to whether or not hydroponic biodynamic gardening is suitable for indoor gardening. Some purists claim that it simply cannot be done indoors since direct contact with the light of the moon is diverted.

Asking the experts how to do whatever it is that brings about their expertise is certain to bring about conflicting opinions and hydroponic biodynamic gardening is no different.

Perhaps the very best way to determine if biodynamic hydroponic gardening will work in your setting is to just dive right in and try it. What better expert could you ask from other than yourself?
